long does it take to become a private pilot?
The FAA
regulations require 40 hours of flight training. The national
average is 76 hours of flight training. Our applicants usually
complete in 50-60 hours of flight training. This can be
accomplished over a 30 day to 3 month period depending on your
schedule.
Do I
need ground school ?
Yes there are several ways of
accomplishing this. There are a number of computer based training
aids and home study curriculums available. Also one on one with an
Instructor is an option.
I
Is
there a medical examination ?
Yes, an aviation medical exam
is required from a designated FAA medical examiner. Call with any
questions or concerns you may have.
Are
there any tests ?
Yes there is a written exam that is
multiple choice. Also there is a practical test taken in the
aircraft with an FAA designated examiner.
What
are the registration requirements ?
A valid US passport or
US birth certificate are required by the TSA. If not a US citizen
